I am a contributor to The Secret Lives of Lawfully Wedded Wives, an anthology of 25 well-known women writers. My essays and articles have also appeared in Backpacker Magazine, Sierra Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle Magazine, the San Jose Mercury News, and the Chicago Tribune.

Editorial Coordinator, Metropolitan Museum of Art, 2005
I coordinated the redesign for a biweekly publication that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the museum. Wrote stories, interviewed curators about upcoming exhibitions, reported on new museum projects, and was responsible for layout and production.

I covered Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Pacific Grove. Profiled Clint Eastwood, Leon Panetta and other top Monterey area officials.

As a member of the Medill News Service, I investigated the tobacco industry's campaign contributions. I reported extensively on the North Carolina congressional delegation including former Sen. John Edwards. I filed stories from the U.S. Supreme Court and the White House.

I covered the Chicago City Council and probed the city's relationship with the electrical utility, Commonwealth Edison. Profiled Chicago artists, reviewed theater and classical music and developed in-depth features.

Taught language arts, math and science in K-5 classes.

Wrote a monthly column that discussed life in the 90's and Generation X. Topics included the existence of God, teenage angst, the digital revolution and dealing with pesky roommates.
